you thought I didn’t really notice. But I did. I wanted to high-five you. Yesterday I had a pair of brothers in my store. One was maybe between 15-17. He was a wrestler at the local high school. Kind of tall, stocky and handsome. He had a younger brother, who was maybe about 10-12 years old. The…

On Saturday December 3rd Cheryl bushey and Tribal Rythym are putting on their annual show “Journey to the East”. This year they celebrate their 10th year!
I am planning to perform and I hope to see lots of people there. Tickets to the show are $15. All the information for the show can be found at the Tribal Rythym website.
I am hoping to teach at Amarillo College in the spring semester (starting in January). I need a minimum of 8 students to establish a class.
Cost will depend on the number of students and the number of class hours during the semester. A rough estimate will be approximately $60 per person for the session (there is no pay per class option). Location of the class to be determined but it is likely to be in the Polk Street Nixon Gym facility.
This will be part of the Personal Enrichment classes in the Continuing Education department. I am hoping to set the class up on Thursday evenings starting at approximately 7pm.
I am also open to hearing from potential students on other days/times. Bear in mind that there are three other bellydance classes operating Monday-Wednesday teaching beginning bellydance moves and combos. I don’t want to clash with another class but my class will be focused on American Tribal and Tribal Fusion.

As I had no students turn up for two weeks I decided to cancel the class in Canyon. I am hoping to have something organized for the new year. If you are interested in tribal bellydance classes please send me an e-mail to andrastabellydance@gmail.com with your name and contact details.
Calling all bellydancers in the Amarillo/Canyon area. I am starting an introductory American Tribal class at The Barefoot Underground studio located at 1205 23rd Street, Suite 6A, Canyon. Starting Thursday October 27th, and then every Thursday, ending December 1st (except Thanksgiving). Starts at 6:30pm-8:00pm and is $10 per class, or $45 if you register for all 5 classes. This is a special class to test the water in the area and build a student base. More classes will be coming in the New Year, including classes run from my planned home “studio”. I am hoping I get enough interest to develop a tribal troupe dedicated to group improv, with an emphasis on BlackSheep BellyDance SGI format (I’m hoping to get my Level 1 teaching certificate next year).
